Tonight a bunch of people looking for a reason to hate the Kobe Bryant are going to look at his statline and say, “WELP, here goes selfish Kobe again. This is why he’ll never win (ha). All he does is shoot, shoot, shoot, and he apparently has no concept of team basketball. I hate this guy.”
But let’s look at his shooting: 13 - 27, so near 50%. Also led the team with 4 assists, which is about 1 below his average.
Now the rest of the starters:
Pau Gasol: 5 - 12.
Ron Artest: 2 - 9.
Andrew Bynum: 3 - 6, but largely ineffective after the 2nd half, presumably because of his knee. We’re missing him a lot.
Derek Fisher: 2 - 9.
Bench: Odom wasn’t bad going 4 - 6, but Sasha & Farmar combined for 2 - 9.
Who else was going to score?? No one else on the Lakers looked like they’d be any kind of effective offensively (or defensively for that matter), and so Kobe did what Kobe has to do as the leader of this team … shoot. He was so hot that if the Lakers could’ve made 3 or 4 stops they would’ve been up by 6 points.
Immediately I look at Pau Gasol. Pau HAS to score 20 a game. He literally has to for the Lakers to win. Two years ago it was because of this same Celtics team that he was deemed soft, and for the better part of this playoffs he had shook the label. He was playing superb, having his way with defenses and now … he’s just stumped. Odom also has to score 15+, since we’re most likely not going to get tons of points from Artest at this point.
I saw nothing wrong with Kobe shooting in the 2nd half. You’re supposed to go with the hot hand, and man was he hot. He was efficient, and although he made some terrible passing decisions he still tried to get his teammates involved.
Just seemed like they didn’t want to.
Now will haters please be quiet and not judge this man on his past transgressions. Lets be real, that is the only reason why the majority of Lakers hater do not like the Lakers and him. Take it for what it is really worth, he is the best in basketball right now, on a team in the finals who needs to put in the work. He is a great leader, because he leads by example. He is great because he has what it takes to win. He is the closest we will every reach to a modern day Jordan and people should appreciate his gift instead of hate. I could go on and on about this but I don’t have the spirit in me right now. Stop bashing Kobe, accept Greatness.

Questions for the good people
today was a great day filled with many questions. bald or hairy, wide or long, bees or wasps, pretty and dumb or ugly and brilliant. from these questions i received a lot of answers. but at the end of the night a series of questions went unanswered. those questions deal with the case of the ex.
the real/biggest question that was asked but never said nor answered is how and when do you get over your first real love? is it humanly possible? why is it so hard, especially to those who felt like they completely gave their all to a person who in the end left them disappointed. whether it be a man or a woman i feel that someone is going to feel heartbreak at some point in their lives, im talking a heartbreak that makes you feel like your whole world is caving in after you see your old lover for the first time in a long time or when someone mentions their name.
is it really possible? and if so, how long does it take? will memories of that old lover still with you forever even into your new families with spouses and children?
im convinced it does, and the ghost of first lover past will follow you as long as you allow it, which for most people like myself, will be a long time, probably into new relationships. there is no quick fix for this issue, but you have to know exes are exes for a reason and you need to figure out if this is a person that should even ever be let back into your life. if not the only thing you can do is try to cut it loose enough to the point where you believe you can try and love someone else again. your first love, first everything will be in your life forever and their is no avoiding that and you shouldnt because clearly, they were in your life for a reason! i personally think all you can do is hope and pray that you can find a healthy way to allow the memories and past lessons learned from your first love take a positive stance in your life, and not deter from your relationship with your potential last lover.
anyway, happy loving people. remember being first isnt always as good as being last.

The #LAKESHOW had me super stressed tonight. I was sitting in the dark of my basement in solitary confinement to focus on our game tonight. It was a must win for us and even though the refs where trying to cheat us the WHOLE DAMN GAME, we snuck it out!
Fisher shot the lights out and he is my ex-factor for getting another ring along with Lamar. If the both of them are hitting shots and playing D with Kobe and Pau, the game is over! Lamar came in super hard off the bench 17 and 13. :) And Sasha got under that travelling mofo Dragic’s skin! I LOVED IT! Take the tech, it took him out his game. I would love to see Sasha hitting some more 3s but I’m just glad he is back on the court. Ron gave me a heart attack when he threw up that brick with 55 seconds left like dude why are you here? But I forgave him and THEN SOME after the last second heroics. And of course my man #24 and Pau held it down. Not talking anymore trash till I get ring numbahhhh 5, but I will say one thing.
Ama’re, Channing, Robin, and Admunson, you have ONE more time to try and sneak a elbow or foul hand on MY MAN KOBE or any of his boys and I’mma fuck your nose up worse than Steve Nash. -____-
Celtics and Magic tomorrow which is gonna be a good game. I hope Big Baby is ok, but I want to see it go to seven so I’m pulling for the Magic tomorrow night.
